Xiao-Min, engaged before finishing high school, finds herself trapped in a loveless, sexless marriage, with her curiosity about the world unfulfilled. Her monotonous life as a housewife is disrupted by a young intruder, sparking change. Following her divorce, she faces loneliness and confusion about intimacy. What path will she choose now?

In the late 1980s, while Taiwan's film industry struggled with low-budget productions and declining quality, Tomson Films took a bold turn. Rejected scandal-driven plots and Hong Kong imports, it focused on emerging women's issues in post-martial law Taiwan. With early performances by Maggie Cheung and scripts by Tsai Ming-liang, Shaudi Wang and Su Wei-chen, this film struck a rare balance between social relevance and commercial success. Presented in a 2K restoration.
